23rd Asian Spinal Cord Network (ASCoN) Conference 2024

It is with great pleasure and anticipation that we announce the 23rd ASCoN Conference 2024, scheduled to be held in Nepal from 23rd to 25th November 2024. This marks the fourth occasion Nepal has had the honor of hosting this esteemed conference, a testament to our ongoing commitment to advancing spinal cord injury (SCI) care and rehabilitation. Under the co-hosting of the Epidemiology and Disease Control Division (EDCD)/ Department of Health Services (DoHS)/ Ministry of Health and Population (MOHP) and the Spinal Injury Sangh Nepal (SISN), ASCoN 2024 promises to be a landmark event. Our theme for this year, “Knowledge, Exchange and Technologies for Decentralized SCI Care,” underlines our dedication to fostering innovation and collaboration in SCI management.

The conference will bring together over 350 participants from around the globe, including PMR doctors, surgeons, nurses, therapists, researchers, policymakers, paramedics, users and representatives from international organizations. Together, we will engage in multidisciplinary workshops, scientific sessions, exhibitions, and wheelchair sports, aiming to enhance specialized SCI services, primary health care, and rehabilitation practices.

Highlights of ASCoN 2024 include dynamic plenary sessions featuring national and international leaders, parallel sessions covering various aspects of SCI management, and the latest advancements in rehabilitation technologies. In addition, there will be special sessions on “Rehabilitation 2030 and Governance” and “National Rehabilitation Plan”.
